It's an interesting debate, which form of learning is better - online or onsite?
The answer is neither! Both environments have their benefits and drawbacks. But how do we know when to best use each tool? And more importantly, is it the right tool? After all, you wouldn't use a flame thrower to cut a ribbon would you? Well maybe.
Think of a class you are teaching right now and imagine that you had an online class running at the same time. This could be a place for you to post online resources to help students with homework, a calendar to keep track of assignments, or maybe even quizzes for students to take to assess their learning on their own time.
What's one thing you would like to do to support student learning with a Canvas course?
Post your comment below, and then take a look at some of the things other new Canvas users are saying. Don't try to look first... I set up this discussion so you can't see anyone else's comments until you post your own. Sneaky, huh.
