Canvas LTI's

Canvas is a nice kid, it plays nicely with other online tools!

An "LTI" (learning tool interoperability) is an online external app that is built to work right inside a Canvas course page.  You can use these external apps to add functionality and accessibility to your Canvas Course.  For example, rather than place links to a website like TedEd, you can directly embed a TedEd video into your page using the TedEd LTI.

At the top of your Rich Text Editor while editing a page look for some of the little icons or a chevron symbol with a drop menu of other LTIs.  In the UEN Instructure account we have both UEN eMedia and TedEd resources available.

 

Clicking on the eMedia icon allows the teacher to then search for UEN eMedia resources and add them directly to the page.
