Final Tips

As you're getting more comfortable with creating content and student activities in Canvas you'll start getting more accustomed to some of the quirks in the Canvas Rich Text Editor.  Here are just a few things you may want to consider when moving forward with revising and creating new courses.

1. Don't double up the titles. Giving a page or activity a name is basically giving it a title, so you don't need to do this...Screen Shot 2015-03-31 at 12.37.23 PM.png

If the course is "Keep Your Canvas Clean" and the first page is called "Keep Your Canvas Clean", don't put a title on the top of the page with the same info.

2. Be CONSISTENT with spac i n g
and Fonts, as well as the sizes.

3. Think before you upload

  • Is this a resource I could just link to?
  • Is this a resource I could embed?
  • What should I name this so everyone will know what it is?
  • Where should I put this so I can find it later?
